The sun was setting over Eagle Lake in Acadia National Park in Maine.
With slightly cooler weather temporarily upon us, I decided to drive into the city to photograph the sunset from Brooklyn Bridge Park. I arrive one hour before sunset to guarantee I had a decent location and stayed until an hour after sunset to capture some of the blue hour.
For the second year in a row, I went with a group to Donaldson Farms, in Hackettstown, NJ, to photograph the sunflowers at sunset. I took this with my ultra-wide angle zoom lens and was only a few inches from the sunflower in the front.

Onondaga Falls is 0.73 miles upstream of Waters Meet, and is the eighth and last named falls in Glen Leigh. It is 1.04 miles south of the Lake Leigh trailhead parking lot by Lake Jean. The trail to Onondaga Falls had to be reconstructed prior to 2001, after a storm washed it out. The Onondaga are an Iroquoian-speaking people and one of the original members of the Iroquois Confederation. They were geographically in the middle of the five tribes and "tended the council fire" of the Iroquois Longhouse; as such they were one of three "Elder Brothers" in the Confederacy. Their village at Onondaga, New York, was the Iroquois capital
